Creamy Dreamy Maple Tahini Latte

Ohh Tahini, you really do it all. If you keep up with me via Instagram you’re very much aware that I am going through a tahini obsession. It’s just SO good, ya know? I’ve been adding it on top of savory dinners, into cookie recipes (coming soon), and even into my lattes!

This latte is seriously so freaking good. The tahini add a creamy texture that keeps me full all morning. Combined with maple syrup and cinnamon, this truly is quite the morning treat! It’s creamy and sweet without being TOO sweet, which I find tends to happen a lot with fancy lattes. This is not the case. Tahini helps balance this latte into the perfect pick-me-up of fall flavors.

Not only is tahini extremely versatile, but it’s full of health benefits. So before we talk lattes, let’s talk about some reasons why you might want to join yours truly in a tahini obsession.

Loaded with Antioxidants

Tahini is full of antioxidants called lignans. These assist in the prevention of free radicals that damage your body. Other antioxidants found in tahini have antibacterial properties.

Highly Nutritious

Tahini is a fantastic source of phosphorus and manganese- both great for bone health. It’s also high in vitamin B1 and vitamin B6, which are important for producing energy.

Strengthens Your Central Nervous System

Tahini also contains compounds that can lead to improved brain health and decrease your risk of developing diseases like dementia. This is possible because sesame seed antioxidants can leave your bloodstream and have a direct affect on your brain and central nervous system!


Let’s Talk Lattes!

To make this latte, you’ll need only 5 ingredients:

~ Coffee or espresso

~ Milk of choice

~ Tahini

~ Maple syrup

~ Vanilla extract

~ Cinnamon


First, get your coffee situated. I like to heat up cold brew- less acidic and easier on the stomach. If you’re in the market for an easy-on-the-tummy coffee, I could not recommend Four Sigmatic’s coffee enough. I use the “Think” blend because it’s made with Lion’s Mane and Chaga mushrooms. These support a balanced mind and body to avoid jitters and mid-day crashes. 

Next, begin to heat your milk over medium heat. I recommend using oat milk for extra creaminess. (PS. try out my homemade “Oatly” oat milk recipe!)

Then add the remaining ingredients to your milk. Once it’s heated to your liking- a good reference is when you see tiny bubbles around the outside of your milk- it’s frothing time.

I use this frother, and I swear by it. This literally has CHANGED my latte game and brought me to a whole new level. Who knew extra foam could do so much for a girl?

Use the frother to mix all of the ingredients together and foam up the milk. Pour the milk mix over your coffee and voila! You have yourself one kick-ass latte. Starbucks could NEVER.

Maple Tahini Latte

All of your creamy latte dreams have come true with this one. She's filling, slightly sweet, and SO delish.

  • 1 cup coffee or espresso
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice oat recommended
  • 1/2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup more or less depending on preference
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon


  • First make your coffee and add it to a mug.
  • Add milk over medium heat along with the remaining ingredients.
  • Once your milk is heated to preference, froth or whisk all of the ingredients together.
  • Pour milk mixture over the coffee and enjoy! Top with additional cinnamon if desired.
